Is your student taking classes this summer? We know how hard it can be to stay focused during these long summer months, especially when classes are so condensed and papers are so quickly at hand. But there is no need for your student to worry! If he or she needs help on a written assignment, Hofstra's Writing Center can help straight away!
Summer hours officially began on Wednesday, May 22, and will continue throughout the season. During the week, faculty, graduate and undergraduate writing assistants are available for online appointments, as well as in-person appointments in 102 Mason Hall, Monday through Thursday, 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Moreover, tutors are available for Sunday appointments online, as well as in-person at 201G in the Axinn Library, from 12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m.
Writing Center staff is able to work with writers across all academic disciplines and at every stage of the writing process: getting started/brainstorming, organizing ideas, assessing the appropriateness of source materials, drafting, revising, and proofreading.
If your student needs help with his or her summer writing assignments, have him or her schedule an appointment with the Writing Center right away at www.hofstra.edu/writingcenter.
