Join Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion for receptions celebrating Hofstra’s Latinx Heritage Month!

Latinx Heritage Month Celebration Reception will be held on September 13, 11:15 a.m. -12:40 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room located in the Student Center. There will be food, music, community building, and a celebration of Latinx heritage through guest speakers.

Also, for Latinx Heritage month; Friday Flix (Film Screening) Series, sponsored by Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion is showing Mala Mala, a film showcasing the experiences of the transgender and drag communities of Puerto Rico. Discussion to follow. The screening will be held on Friday, September 15, 3:00 p.m. in the IEI Wing, 263 Student Center and it is also a free event!

On Tuesday, September 26 Diversity, Dialogue and Dessert: The Fetishization of Latinx Led by members of the Hofstra Organization of Latinx Americans and the QTPOCC (Queer and Trans People of Color Coalition), this dialogue will focus on the fetishization of Latinx individuals in popular culture. This event is being held in the Intercultural Engagement and Inclusion Wing, 263 Student Center at 8:00p.m.
