We are inviting you to register and
participate in the Thanksgiving Homestay Program as a host, to connect with students
who will have to stay on campus or local to the Hofstra area over the
Thanksgiving break. Hosts
can be families of Hofstra students, alumni, administration, staff or faculty,
hosting the Thanksgiving holiday in their home.

better their college experience, they should attend some of these sessions hosted
by SHACC (Student Health and Counseling Center) available at the Wellness and Campus
Living Center, 250 Hofstra University.

Latinx Heritage Month Celebration Reception will be held on
September 13, 11:15 a.m. -12:40 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room located in the Student
Center. There will be food, music, community building, and a celebration of
Latinx heritage through guest speakers.

and their families on Welcome Day Thursday, August 31!

IN from 8:00am to 1:00pm

checking in at the Hofcard tent to pick up their student ID. Family members,
make sure to stop by the Parent and Family Programs tent! If you have any
questions, would like to write a note to your student, or need help registering
for Family Weekend, we are here to help!

Don’t forget that all commuting students who have lockers must have them
cleaned out by May 22nd, 2017. If you do not remove your possessions from your
locker then they are subject to removal and disposal by Hofstra. Also, a reminder
that all resident students must be moved out by 9am on May 20th, 2017.
For all of our
graduating students, commencement is May 21st! Do not forget to pick up your
commencement attire and tickets in the lower level of the Hofstra Bookstore.
Academic attire pickup is Wednesday-Thursday, May 17 and 18, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.,
Friday, May 19, 10 a.m-5 p.m., and an hour before the ceremony on Sunday, May
21, at the Mack Physical Education Center (where you will be lining up).

programs is sponsoring the Tulip Tour and Tea event. There will be a discussion
in the historical Hofstra Hall led by Patricia Dimino, an exhibit in the
Hofstra Museum, as well as tours of Hofstra’s arboretum with Fred Soviera, director
of the grounds and Nancy Richner, the director of the Hofstra Museum. The first
tour begins at 12pm.
