Summer Parent Orientation 2015

Parent and Family Orientation is a day-long program on the first day of each three-day New Student Orientation. Parents and families of incoming first-year students learn about transition to college and campus life through information sessions and a lunceheon with administrators and faculty. Past programs have included sessions on wellness and safety, academic curriculum and advising, financial aid, the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), spiritual life on campus, life in residence halls, commuting student programs and services, and technology on campus. Parents and family members also have a chance to attend a campus tour. The Parent Orientation program begins at 9 a.m. and finishes around 5 p.m.
