FALL FESTIVAL IS ALMOST HERE!!!!!

As many Hofstra community members know, Fall Festival Family Weekend is upon us and the big announcement has been made! The lineup of acts for this year’s Fall Festival concert includes Grammy award winning rapper Ludacris, the well-known Billy Joel tribute band- Big Shot, and Sugarhill Gang. Comedian Craig Ferguson will also be performing and having families laughing at the Mack Arena. Ticket sales are now open online for family members and alumni!. Students have free admission to the carnival and concert, but do have to pay just a $10 ticket fee for the comedy show. Families should begin registering now, online at Hofstra.edu/fw to get discounted rates and a free blanket to the first 500 families to register! Another exciting part of Fall festival is the Grucci firework show and the parade of floats made by Hofstra student organizations on campus. Also, the carnival this year will include rides like the zipper, gravitron, hurricane, an inflatable obstacle course, the sizzler, and giant swing. Events such as the carnival and Taste of Hofstra Reception will give families a chance to experience the weekend’s excitement together. The taste reception includes sampling of all different foods from local restaurants and establishments near campus. The weekend includes a number of different events for family members to engage in together (except the comedy show, adults only!). Register quickly online, as prices will increase if you register the day of the event.
